Composed as an ambient spiritual, a hymn-like folk piece, a
hopeful piano and strings, with spoken-word poetry and
field recordings.

The poetry and music express the whispered wishes of lovers
separated by circumstance, yet remain connected in nature’s
healing and awesome powers.

--Story--
Mirla’s loneliness is lifted by her hopefulness and belief in
Arthur’s safe return. Mirla is comforted by thoughts that they
share the same gifts of nature and universality, which helps to
diminish the distance between them and helps her to endure.

– Conversation Notes –
Although vast oceans separate Mirla and Arthur, they’re joined
by them, too, as waves visit, then leave, on deep currents.
Greetings are sounded in the rippling, lapping and foaming
waters and in the songs of migrating birds.

At night, Mirla and Arthur gaze up at the same moonlight. Each
morning they’re warmed by the sun’s glorious return to a sky
unaltered by the wars that rage below.

While the letters are romantic, I needed something exaggerated
and dreamlike. My husband wrote some beautiful lines of poetry
to heighten the sense of romance and connection.
